​Pentecost June 20, 2021

On Sunday, June 20, 2021 our church celebrated the Feast of Pentecost. As Pentecost was the birth of the original Orthodox Church in 33 A.D., Pentecost of 2021 was the birth of Saint Raphael Ukrainian Orthodox Church, under the Omophorion of His Grace Bishop MICHAEL.

We celebrated The Divine Liturgy, followed by the Vespers of the Kneeling Prayers, at Subdeacon Souhail Khalifeh's backyard.

June 20th was also Fathers' Day and the one Year Memorial of Souhail and Fadya's son, Leith, who fell asleep in the Lord on Fathers' Day 2020.

We started the Day at the cemetery, where we celebrated the Trisagion Prayers for the Departed for Leith, Nada (his grandmother), and other Khalifeh and Dababneh departed family members.
